What happens at this event?

Chair & Standing Yoga & Tea is designed for those looking for a slow and gentle yoga class - for anyone who prefers not working from the floor.

All classes will be designed to encourage movement, flexibility and build strength as well as working on calming the mind.

During the class we will make good use of chairs to assist you through this gentle practice. You can expect to feel taller, stronger and hopefully better overall in yourself after each session.

Following a 45 minute yoga session we will stop together for a cup of tea or coffee and perhaps a snack before…

FAQ's
What happens in a yoga class?
Yoga is about mindfully moving the body in line with the breath, paying attention to where we are at and focusing inwards. We'll take some time to prepare for the class before moving through a series of shapes designed to strengthen, stretch and move your body. I'll be your guide, offering suggestions and ideas, while you move to where feels right for you.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself! As well as a bottle of water and if you happen to have a yoga mat you are welcome to bring it, otherwise I will provide you with one.
What should I wear?
It's best to wear light, comfortable clothing that isn't too baggy. Leggings, jogging bottoms or fitted shorts and a fitted top or tee-shirt is ideal. Baggy t-shirts can ride up in some postures, so fitted clothes are best.
What if I have an injury or condition that limits my movements?
Yoga can be adapted to suit most injuries and conditions and in fact, is quite often recommended as a tool to assist in recovery. We'll work together to find ways to modify the poses for you throughout your yoga practice.
Can anyone do a yoga class?
Yes! Yoga is non-competitive (even with yourself!) and open to everyone, whatever your shoe size. My classes are sociable, fun and offer you the opportunity to get to know your body and hopefully make some improvements on the way. Body and mind!
